Family Dentistry
We are proud of our commitment to your entire family's oral care. Our general dentists treat children (pediatric dentistry) on a regular basis including screening and monitoring of proper growth and dental development. Our services encompass caries (decay) assessment and risk management, placement of sealants, fluoride and "re-mineralization" (reversal of early decay), both for prevention and treatment.
Preventive Care
At Pacific Dental Associates we have incorporated prevention into our comprehensive approach to dental/oral health for life. This includes behavior change for oral hygiene, nutrition counseling, smoking control and more.
At every examination, we provide an oral cancer screening exam, together with a thorough examination of your periodontal (gum) condition and teeth for caries (decay). We screen for risk factors and medical conditions that can affect your oral health: diabetes, cardiovascular disease, pregnancy, medication causing dry mouth, among many others.
Specialty Care at Pacific Dental Associates Oral Surgery
Oral Surgery involves removal of teeth, including impacted wisdom teeth; surgery for disorders and diseases of the jaws; fractures associated with trauma, or to assist in jaw repositioning in combination with orthodontic treatment, and sinus surgery for bone regeneration in preparation for dental implant placement.
Periodontics
Periodontology is the study of the supporting structures of the teeth, the gum tissues, bone and tooth attachment. Periodontics includes the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of periodontal diseases; gingivitis, and periodontitis which can lead to bone and ultimately tooth loss.

PDA was founded in 1985 as part of the concept of the California Pacific Medical Center. The partners forming PDA all have university backgrounds and/or affiliations; in fact most of us were/are teaching at the University of the Pacific, Dugoni School of Dentistry, (right across the street). PDA, a multi-specialty dental office within a medical and hospital setting continues to be a model for oral and dental healthcare delivery. Not only have we been together since the 80's, so have most of our co-colleagues (our staff); we see ourselves as one big family. This continues to be very important to our vision of delivering excellence in care, upon which our reputation has been built.
