Sebastian G. Ciancio, DDS

Dr. Sebastian G. Ciancio earned his dental degree at the State University of New York (SUNY) School of Dentistry (1961), where he also completed fellowships in Physiology, Pharmacology and Periodontology. He then studied Biostatistics at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill; Periodontology at SUNY; Radioisotope Techniques at Western New York Nuclear Center; and Clinical Pharmacology at Vanderbilt University. He has authored or co-authored over 150 articles on periodontal disease. Dr. Ciancio is currently Distinguished Service Professor and chair of the Department of Periodontics and Endodontics and director of the Center for Dental Studies at SUNY in Buffalo, New York.
