The Dentists' Office of the Hudson Valley has recently moved to a new location in order to enhance the technology and services that they can provide to their patients. The new 7,000 sq. ft. facility with state-of-the-art equipment was designed with their patients' comfort in mind. Ultra low radiation digital x-rays, television monitors in each room, and a children's play area are examples of the patient-friendly environment that they offer.

Enhancing Your Smile: The Dentists' Office of the Hudson Valley has the expertise and experience to correct and restore your winning smile. A variety of techniques are offered including all ceramic crowns, bonding, tooth colored restorations, orthodontics (Invisalign®), and whitening techniques (Zoom!®). They also offer both traditional veneers and Lumineers®, a new product with minimal tooth reduction. Dr. Allan Abolafia is a Cornell University graduate. He received his dental training at New York University College of Dentistry. He has been practicing dentistry since 1978 and has been with The Dentists' Office of the Hudson Valley since 1983. Dr. Abolafia has continued his education with special emphasis on cosmetic dentistry, crowns and bridgework, implants, and innovations in dental materials. This knowledge not only enhances patient care in the practice, but also provides consultation with his colleagues on staff. He is certified in the ZOOM!® tooth whitening procedure.

Dr. Allen Ackerman is a graduate of Queens College. He received his dental training at New York University College of Dentistry and did his dental residency at Goldwater Memorial Hospital. Dr. Ackerman furthers his education with numerous continuing education courses, including implant prosthetics, endodontics and cosmetic dentistry. He is certified in the placement of Lumineers® as well as the ZOOM!® tooth whitening procedure. Practicing dentistry since 1978, Dr. Ackerman has been with the Dentists' Office of the Hudson Valley since 1983.

Dr. Timothy Tufankjian is an important addition to The Dentists' Office of the Hudson Valley. Since March, 2005 he has built a reputation of kindness and masterful competence. Emphasizing patient care and comfort as his top priority has always defined his practice philosophy. Dr. Tufankjian did his undergraduate work at Pace University in White Plains, New York. He graduated cum laude and he became a member of The National Honor Society. He then went on to the University of Buffalo School of Dental Medicine where he learned the art of dentistry.

Morton Silver, D.D.S. (Orthodontist)
He received his dental training at the University of Pennsylvania and his certificate in orthodontics from Columbia University. Dr. Silver is certified in Invisalign®.
Donald M. Toporoff, D.M.D. (Periodontist)
He received his dental degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and received his certificate in periodontics at the University of Connecticut.
Karl E. Krause, D.M.D. (Oral Surgeon)
He specializes in oral surgery and is the newest member of the practice. He received his dental degree at Boston University and his oral surgery certificate at West Virginia University. He is certified in intravenous sedation.
Marc Schachter, D.D.S. (Oral Surgeon)
He received his dental degree at New York University College of Dentistry and completed a residency program in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
