The Ideal Smile—Does It Really Exist?

Much like searching for the fountain of youth, humans have obsessed over achieving the perfect smile. From concerns over tooth color to straightening or replacing missing teeth, nearly everyone can list at least one change they would make. However, does the perfect smile exist? Is it really that important to pursue?

Considering that perfectly aligned white teeth are a sign of a health and a fully functioning bite, as well as the fact that nearly 90% of adults feel that an attractive smile is an important career and social asset, then most will agree that the pursuit is well worth the effort. In the end, the feel-good experience of a beautiful smile rests in the experience a person has when looking in the mirror. It is a personal and emotional perception.
