Warning signs of Gum Disease

If you are experiencing any of these signs you should be evaluated by your dentist or periodontist.

  • Gums that bleed during brushing or eating
  • Gums that feel swollen or tender
  • Persistent bad breath
  • Pus between your gums and teeth
  • Gums that are receding or pulling back from your teeth
  • Changes in the way your teeth fit together when you bite
  • Sores in your mouth

Keep in mind: Cigarettes often hide the signs of periodontal (gum) disease.
