Dentists Donating Time To “Give Kids A Smile” In The New Year Each year on the first Friday in February, thousands of the nation's dentists and their dental teams provide free oral health care to children from low-income families across the country. To help children who lack access to dental care get the treatment they need, The American Dental Association's “Give Kids A Smile” program has completed a highly successful 8-year track record enhancing the oral healthcare of children who might suffer needlessly due to tooth decay. Untreated tooth decay can affect a child's general health, growth, learning, social skills and general well-being. Every child deserves a bright pain-free smile.
