Oral Piercing…Should I remove my tongue or lip bolt?

You might not have an oral piercing, but the odds are you know someone who does. Without question, removing your piercing, tongue, or lip bolt will greatly improve your overall oral health by drastically reducing the likelihood of tooth sensitivity, damaging or chipping teeth, and other periodontal (gum) problems. Once you decide to remove the piercing, many questions surface. How did this affect my oral health? Will the hole in my tongue ever close? The good news is most often the hole in your tongue will heal itself; otherwise a minor corrective surgery may be required.
