Paula Moynihan, PhD

Dr. Paula Moynihan is a State Registered Dietitian, Health Professionals Council UK since 1986, received her PhD in Nutrition from the University of Surrey 1990, and is a Registered Nutritionist (Public Health) from the Association for Nutrition in 1998). She is the Chair of Nutrition and Oral Health at Newcastle University, England, and is Director of the only World Health Organization (WHO) Collaborating Center for Nutrition and Oral Health. She advised the WHO on matters relating to oral health during their recent update of the WHO Guideline on Sugars for Adults and Children. Her research focuses on the relationships between diet and oral health throughout the lifecycle. In 2010 she was awarded a Distinguished Scientist Award by the International Association for Dental Research for ‘Geriatric Oral Research.’
